Books I Have Read This Year

Traitor to Memory - Elizabeth George - Another Lynley. Too long at about 1000 pages. I'm not enough of an editor to be able to see what could be cut, but this book just dragged on and on for me, where the others in the series didn't. There was comparatively little about Lynley, Havers, & Nkata, whose relationships are a big draw for me.

Books I Have Read This Year

Ha'penny - Jo Walton - very good. Not quite as enthralling as Farthing, but a natural continuation of it, and examination of what happens under fascism... This is a permanent addition to my library.
