The Never-Ending Story - Michael Ende, trans. Ralph Mannheim - wow. I need a lot more and consistent worldbuilding to be happy with a book. If I'd read it when I was a kid, I may have liked it much more. I've already mailed it off through bookmooch.

The $64 Tomato - William Alexander - interesting enough book - a man's thoughts on his garden.

Kristin Lavransdatter I: The Wreath - Sigrid Undset, trans. Tiina Nunnally - Fantastic. The story is fascinating, and the writing-- I keep thinking of the word "limpid".
