Dog Wizard - Barbara Hambly - awesome, as expected.

Kingdom of Cages - Sarah Zettel - not quite up to my very high expectations. Good anyway! I like how there are very few bad people in her books, just people who are not evil, but are doing evil things for what they perceive as good reasons.

A Steak in Murder - Claudia Bishop - another Hemlock Falls, and an ok read.

Is Dog Wizard the sequel to Silicon Mage? I loved that book when I was 12.

Yes, it is. The three books do not feel like a trilogy to me, rather a duology, with a third added.

There's also a fourth book set in that world Stranger at the Wedding which is very good and I have just finished. I can get you a copy of that, if you like!

about anything you like, if you get me copies of Dog Wizard and SatW. I've been wanting to read Dog Wizard ever since I saw an ad for it in that book club thing in my brother's copy of Omni in the early 90s. Pretty please with sprinkles :)

Ok, I'm on a free book trading site, and I have asked the owner of SatW if she would be willing to send it to my friend, who also lives in Canada. And I've put DW on my list of books-to-notify-me-when-someone-lists-to-give-away, and will send it if it becomes available. Or I could send you my copy, if you are willing to mail it back when you are done.

I have spare copies of Army of Daylight, which is a different series, if you need that as well. Just looked it up; it's the third in the Darwath series.

No, I didn't. After the Gaiman debacle I'm kind of leery of getting to know authors too well. Thanks for having the books sent to me; I'll wait till they're available.
