Books 2010 - 2

Black Powder War - Naomi Novik - not as gripping as the first two, and more of a straight battle novel. I sort of skimmed those bits, as I am not interested. Looking forward to the next 2, which I will be getting from the library tomorrow. Novik occasionally catches an Austen-ish flavor, which makes me happy.

Don't Tempt Me - Loretta Chase - interesting setup. I think I would have been happier if the heroine was not a virgin; I tire of virgin heroines. She is, however, eager to lose it. I suspect there are issues with Orientalism in this book, but I don't know enough to state that for sure.
