The Spider Bites - Medora Sale - I received a free copy through the LibraryThing early reviewers program. This is the review:

A very quick read, as it was intended. This book is one of a new series geared to be quick reads, and useful for adults who are working on learning to read better. I am not the target audience.

The plot was very simple, but interesting enough that I kept reading to see how it turned out. There's a fair amount of incluing, and not much info-dump.

I really like the idea of books that are simple, but deal with adult topics, because they will probably be more interesting to adults who are learning to read than kids books would be.

I've already passed it on to an ESL friend of mine.

Dog Wizard - Barbara Hambly - awesome, as expected.

Kingdom of Cages - Sarah Zettel - not quite up to my very high expectations. Good anyway! I like how there are very few bad people in her books, just people who are not evil, but are doing evil things for what they perceive as good reasons.

A Steak in Murder - Claudia Bishop - another Hemlock Falls, and an ok read.
