The Grand Jubilee - Suzette Haden Elgin -
And Then There'll Be Fireworks - Suzette Haden Elgin -
The last two of a trilogy. Very good. Strong women in a variety of roles. The society seems to be set up with strict gender roles, and I can't help but wonder what happens to people who don't conform to them. Bits of S.H.E.'s linguistic background show through at times; I don't really understand it, but I find it amusing.
