Beers

Last Friday, we made a beer run, and I had a chance to consult a beer person about what I might like.

I don't like beer much at all; I've only found 2 that I actually like, Ithaca Apricot Wheat Beer and Dinkelacker Dark. No one has ever heard of the second, but the beer person had some advice based on the fact that I like the Ithaca.

Look for wheat beers, look for "white" beer, keep an eye out for "Belgian-style" beers, and try out a "Hefeweisen."

I agree with that advice. I also like Pyramid Apricot. Very very smooth and apricoty.

Newcastle is fantastic for new beer triers. Smooth and carmel-y. Second the pyramid apricot wheat. See what you think of red stripe, it is probably my favorite and I think people call it cheap beer.

[[blushes]] I forgot that I also like Newcastle.

I tried Miller Lite with Lime last night. I'd prefer water. It has so little taste, I don't know what the point of it was!

I think I've had Miller Lite with Lime. And I agree, it's quite lame.

I think the point of it is:

* to create something faux-exotic, as cheaply as possible
* to lure in cheap-beer drinkers and "malternative" beer drinkers alike
